Our client is an established and respected international engineering company, headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. They operate across both public and private sectors locally and around the globe in the transportation, power, petroleum, industrial process, manufacturing and general building sectors.
Requirements:
Our client is looking for an Estimating Manager to join their expanding team. The right candidate will have a minimum of 15 years related experience and strong knowledge of estimating processes and programs on all classes of capital cost estimates. You will be responsible for leading our capital cost estimating team on projects of varying size and complexity.
Responsibilities:
* Preparing pre-feasibility, feasibility, appropriation, budget control and check estimates * Preparing estimates for at risk EPC projects * Preparing cost estimate reviews, analysis and reports * Participating in value engineering studies * Preparing risk analysis reports * Interacting and coordinating with engineering suppliers and contractors * Developing and maintaining estimating software databases, models, equipment and material costs, cost trends and benchmarks
Qualifications:
* Must have previous experience in an engineering consulting background * Must be goal oriented and have very strong organizational and planning skills * Must be aware of costs associated with all disciplines including civil, structural, mechanical and electrical * Must have excellent communications and teamwork skills * Must have international experience * Must have proficient computer skills and previous experience with estimating software * Field experience would be a definite asset * Association with any cost engineering affiliations would be a definite asset
